\nNexTech Solutions and FAS Technologies have said that they plan to
\nmerge in the current quarter in an effort to pool resources and expand
\ntheir customer base via current diverse sales channels.\n<\/p>\n

\n“For manufacturers of semiconductors, flat panel displays, solar panels
\nand medical equipment, efficient handling, coating and inspection is
\ncritical to ensure maximum surface integrity, reduced costs and higher
\nyields,” said NexTech President and CEO Tony DiNapoli. “The addition of
\nFAS’s expertise, patented products and market-proven technologies will
\nenable NexTech to expand its global customer base, address large,
\nfast-growing markets and offer more productive processing solutions for
\ncurrent and next-generation products.” <\/p>\n

“This merger is
\nstrategic and beneficial for both companies,” stated Ted Snodgrass,
\nPresident and CEO of FAS. “We serve the same markets, have synergies in
\nsales and marketing and, by combining product development, have the
\nopportunity to offer exciting new solutions to customers.” <\/p>\n

NexTech
\noffers products for automated calibration, inspection and handling of
\nadvanced substrates for microelectronics applications. FAS supplies
\nextrusion coating technology for a broad range of applications
\nincluding liquid polymer films applied to glass used in flat panel
