\n\t\tEnergy Conversion Devices, Inc., of which United
\nSolar Ovonic is a wholly-owned subsidiary, has announced company
\nChairman Robert C. Stempel’s (pictured) intention to retire from the
\nrole at the end of the year. His retirement will be made effective at
\nthe company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on December 11th.<\/p>\n

The Board of Directors will appoint a non-executive
\nsuccessor to the Chairman role from the newly-appointed directors
\nelected at the same meeting.<\/p>\n

Stempel, who retired from the role of CEO less than two months ago, has been Chairman of the Board for ECD since 1995.<\/p>\n

Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. is an alternative energies solutions provider.<\/p>\n
